About Me



 Sean Thomas is a news anchor and correspondent for RT International. Based in Moscow, Sean provides a daily rundown of the leading global news stories of the day. He has covered a diverse range of topics from the Fukushima nuclear disaster of 2011 to the emergence of Islamic State in the Middle East. Sean began his journalism career as a radio broadcaster at WKBV in Indiana. He transitioned into TV news, working as a photographer for the NBC affiliate WPBN/WTOM in Traverse City, Michigan. Sean excelled as a “backpack journalist,” where he produced, wrote, shot and edited stories, for NBC and FOX affiliates across the US. 



As an author Sean has written and Illustrated three childrens books.  His first book, Sedikit-Sedikit Menjadi Bukit: Little by Little we Climb the Mountain, was published in 2008, followed by The Most Special Place on Earth in 2011, and I Dare You in 2012. Voice Acting

Sean is an active voice artist in Russia producing a wide and diverse resume of projects ranging from straight corporate and industrial work, to characters in cartoons and film. More details to come.

Sean Michael Thomas is proud to identify as a citizen of the world and is proud to support The Ubuntu Lab, a start up non-profit international organization with a simple mission of helping people understand people.  When people work together from a shared point of understanding, we can change our communities — both local and global — for the better. The Ubuntu Center is building a learning ecosystem bringing together a research and design lab, an interactive museum, and an institute for global leader
